Hi! My name is Jessica but you can call me JJ.
I graduated from Syracuse High School (Class of 2015). During my senior year of High School, I attended the Cosmetology Program at Davis Tech. One month after graduating from High School I then graduated from the Cosmetology Program.
Not long after graduating from Davis Tech as a Cosmetologist, I obtained a job at Supercuts in Layton, UT, and have worked there ever since. Working at Supercuts I have gone above and beyond my duties of just cutting hair. Over the years I was able to learn a part of the side of running the store while working alongside my managers to help in any way I could to make the salon run smoothly. Doing this helped me to learn the ins and outs of the computer system which came in handy when my last manager started there. I was able to help her learn the system more efficiently.
I volunteer at the Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints one day a week. In my free time I enjoys singing, reading books, and taking my dog on bike rides. After working for Supercuts for the past few years I decided I wanted to go back to school to continue my education and explore a different career path. I went back to Davis Tech for Web and Graphic Design.
I have always felt at home creating different kinds of graphics and documents with my computer for myself, family, friends, and work. Throughout Junior High and High School I took classes such as Digital Media, Photography, and Computers in Business. Doing so I was able to get certificates in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. I am excited to be able to go back and continue my education in Web and Graphic Design. I hope that doing so will lead me to many opportunities to work in the Graphic Design Industry once I have graduated from Davis Tech. I hope to be able to create meaningful graphics to help portray each person’s story.
